The owner said the burger patties were homemade and the pulled pork is also smoked in house. I'd give it another chance to win me over.

I started with the Soup of the Day, a Creamy Br... read more I had heard some rumblings about this Atomic Kitchen which folks were saying was a treasure so we gave it a try. I started with the Soup of the Day, a Creamy Broccoli Cheddar soup - holy **** it was incredible (Homerun #1). I then had the peroghis ($6.95) which were actually an appetizer, and found them to be tasty, at least as tasty as these things can be. My partner had a Summer Salad ($7.95) which had an excellent presentation and they substituted Pecans for the Walnuts - my partner thought it would have been even better if they were candied Pecans, but still quite enjoyed it and brought half home with her. Although we were both pretty full we ordered a Strawberry Peach Crumble to share for dessert. It was one of the most amazing tasty desserts (Homerun #2) I have had in a restaurant in a very long time, and it is made right in the restaurant. I think the gentleman who served us was the owner, he was super friendly and clearly loved what he did. So this is not a fancy place, the decor is not going to impress anyone but it is obvious to me that they have some serious treasures on their menu that are worth trying. I know I'll be going back and if you haven't yet, I would encourage you to give them a try.
