with distance the best Algerian restaurant in hamburg. excellent dishes from the maghreb, especially the famous couscous, optionally with lamb, huh or merguez. very friendly owner, speaks Arabic, French and German. good weine and beer. small place and quite simple, but very cozy. good atmosphere. parking is difficult, but subway station is not far. highly recommended. That the couscous here should be particularly delicious, has been said more often and after repeated visit I can confirm this without doubt. but it is really excellent with chicken loaf: perfectly cooked, the meat falls almost alone from the bone, the spices are also matched to the point. it has long been that I have eaten (at least in Jordan) comparable. the service is very relaxed and children are facing, so everything is also family-friendly. minimal drop-off for unaccepted ec card (no credit card is ok) and in the interior wooden panels with charm of the seventies. but ok, remember: you feed in North Africa and outside we were able to enjoy the day-long driving in the grindel district.
The cous cous dishes, for example with lamb, are just super! You should bring a little time, as the small load is mostly well visited and the la madrague runs in family business. but the great eating is worth every minute of waiting!

A very rustic, loving and grounded restaurant in the grindelviertel. the friendly owner serves delicious couscous dishes for several years, if not even decades. the la madrague is always worth a visit! we like to come!
