Lokma - Hamburg

This is possibly the best restaurant in Hamburg! I've been a half of dozen times and always am greeted with a friendly face, quick bread on the table with dipping sauce and our order taken almost immediately. The food is delightful!

I’m not exaggerating when I say this is the best food I have had in Europe, let alone one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The staff here is very attentive, our waiter Mehmef (sorry if I spelled this wrong) was incredible and so nice. The food was so great, the meat very tender and the flavor that you have to try to understand. The desert is amazing… Everything is great thank you guys for having us Americans here we felt welcome and loved it. Any bad reviews on here are acting as Karen’s.

You will see it from around the corner because that is where usually the line starts to get inside. But i can tell you that it is worth the wait. The food is fresh and tasty, the staff kind and funny. You will not regret the time spend in line. The flair in the “Schanzenviertel” is also one of a kind

We were with friends in lokma, some of them very good eater with this evening also really great appetit. in this respect we chose the mixed grill plate. a good choice! really tasty meat selection, with a fresh mixed salad, rice and fladenbrot, fair portions - and that too absolutely fair! we even managed to convince a friend who has so far been more negative to the Turkish kitchen to come here, and he is now a fan of this kitchen mutated.

We came after a show shortly after midnight to eat. both my man and I ordered grill plates. I laughed, he had a mixed teller. yoghurt sauce needed salt and/or seasoned. my court was in order, but I had to stop eating after I had tried a piece of chicken of my mannes. it was so badly cooked that it literally had blood in it. I have to say that the staff was nice and the brot was delicious. because of the chicken I would not recommend it.
