However the restaurant at Meuer Wall has closed and they have moved out of town - north up the Alster river.

The dishes are tr... read more The Friesen Keller is located at the Jungfernstieg. When there is good weather it is possible to sit outside with a great view of the Rathaus. The dishes are traditional German dishes. The menu contains northern German dishes as well as classic dishes like Schnitzel. The staff was ok. The decoration of the restaurant is very nice and authentic. To access the restaurant you need to go down some stairs.

The simple food is good, tasty and not very expensive, served by staff who are fast, competent, and friendly. Who cares about home cooking has won here! The fish dishes look good, but I didn't try. In winter there are great green cabbage dishes. Ice cream with rumrosins at the end of the day
