Was Malte Maurer at Chen a mag?
Even in China, you can rarely eat Chinese. The kitchen is authentic and the duck must be tasted. The noodles and also the spicy paste are made for after seasoning. Also the Dim Sum are great. All meals are available at fair prices. There is a star trigger for the missing guest toilet. View all feedback.
What Sebastian Geißler dislikes about Chen:
Authentic, small, warm and great eatery even to a picky Chinese stomach, the duck is crispy outside and tender juicy inside, the sauce is just right and perfect goes very well with the duck, love the staffs here as well, two more stars for the friendly young staff who claimed he cooked the duck today ; I highly recommend as a Chinese foodie! I came to dinner here because when I came by the afternoon, it smelled so good that I literally thought about him for the rest of the day. eating is really cheap. I have the nudel soup with roasted, which seems to be a popular option. the duck was really good: crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. but I would say if they prefer less salty food to ask for less salt sauce, as I found it a little too salty, as I eat more and more. but they can also choose a drink to balance it. there are outside and inside seats. the younger man who works there is really funny and has a good relationship to the regular. several people came to eat a second meal of the day here or after eating here to take a meal home. they feel free to order in English, mandarin, cantonese or German, because they can communicate in all these languages. also located near the hbf, which was a plus for me. I didn't like hamburg so much, but if I ever revisit, I hope this restaurant is still open.
Great service and a beautiful atmosphere. large variations of traditional Chinese cuisine that I can recommend for anyone who likes to eat something authentic
I bought all the dimsum menus at noon around 12. But the dimsum menu out of about 10 menus only had 7, words from the service or owner (I saw only 2 elderly men and women speaking Chinese/Hong Kong). After a while the waitress or female owner approached me and said that one of the menus I ordered was no longer available so she offered to change my order to another menu that was available. The price of Dimsum was around €6.50 €7.50. The taste of the dimsum was so so, just okay. The waitress or female owner who served me couldn't speak German well, so this was quite a problem when you order food or complain. The location is in the city center and when I came, quite a lot of guests came.
