The staff was overwhelmed and didn't understand what we wanted. The seating on the ground floor was unfortunately quite uncomfortable for people over 1.80m tall. The large glass front made you feel like you were being grilled. The portions could definitely be improved in terms of both quantity and presentation. Conclusion: Unfortunately, it's nothing like the old Alster Pavilion, where everything was a hundred times better and more pleasant

Howeve... read more The ambiance is really nice, and especially on the upper floor, you have a great view of the Elbe River and the sights along its banks. The food is okay. However, in my opinion, the portions are rather small for the price. The service was just about alright at first, nothing more and nothing less. Rather, it was a bit curt. When we didn't leave a tip when paying, the waitress turned around without saying goodbye. Even after we said goodbye, there was no response. Very unprofessional. A shame.

We would have appreciated a bit more attention from the staff at the breakfast buffet – since drinks aren't included, it would have been helpful if they had been checking in and taking our orders. We definitely would have ordered more that way.

We would especially like to commend the exceptionally friendly and attentive staff. You feel welcome and well taken care of from the very first moment. This is particularly true on the upper floor. A restaurant we can wholeheartedly recommend. We will definitely be back!
