Once you have navigated the little streets down by the river you end up on the terrace of this very typical German restaurant. Relax with a draft beer and peruse the fish heavy menu, while you wait for the ships to pass on ther way up to the Port of Hamburg or down the river to the sea. They all pass here and the deepwater channel is a hundred meters from your seat!! Two monster container ships and one cruise liner passed while I was there.......breathtaking. The food, an excellent crab soup and plaice in my case, is too quickly served and delicious. Well worth the visit.
