Old Red House - Hambleton
Menu
Here you will find the menu of Old Red House in Hambleton. At the moment, there are 37 menus and drinks on the menu.
This local pub offers a range of experiences, blending charm with inconsistent service and quality. While some patrons praise the inviting atmosphere, attentive staff, and reasonably-priced, delicious British cuisine, others lament overcooked meals, poor presentation, and a declining menu. Noise from the railway and the surrounding environment can be a drawback, but friendly staff and comfortable accommodations enhance the visit. With reports of chaotic children and lackluster cleanliness, diners may find themselves divided. Overall, this establishment has potential but requires notable improvements to fully reclaim its previous reputation as a beloved local haunt.

The food was excellent, especially the stroganoff. It was so delicious that I went back twice during my week-long vacation. It's a lovely place, perfect for a quiet drink as well. The staff were very friendly too. View all feedback.
What annie Mabilat dislikes about Old Red House:
The rooms are a bit tired but the staff are friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable and the shower was ok. Walls are very thin and you can hear the people next door. There is a railway line at the back of the property but it doesn't really impact. Note there is no food on Monday and Tuesday evening and they don't do breakfast. View all feedback.

We parked our campervan for the night and arrived late at the restaurant. Even though they had stopped serving food, the staff kindly prepared some delicious burgers and chips for us. The homemade burgers were fantastic and really showcased the quality ingredients they use. The staff and locals were friendly and hospitable. The parking fee for staying overnight was only £10, and they often have live music events. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future. Despite being located next to a railway station and near a road, the noise was not a major issue for us and the location suited our needs perfectly.
Charming small pub with a great selection of guest beers. The place is always bustling with customers. Service and atmosphere both rated at 5 stars.
