Beautiful small place opposite the green in great ayton. skorn, I had the blueberry, fresh made this morning and a pot green tee to wake up the pfeife. really good choice of cake; breakfast available throughout the day; vegetarian options; Children's menu; outside seat in the back in the courtyard; inexpensive. very clean. prompt servic... The taste of the coffee is always a matter of personal opinion, so move on. Not covering the toast to the edge with avocado just smacks of penny pinching. But not getting the poached eggs to table whilst still hot is simply second-rate. The final insult is after paying by card, asking for the printout to be told “we don’t give them out” means this place will not see us again. Perhaps more concentration on the custome... read moreTucked away in a charming location, this café offers a cozy atmosphere with attentive staff. While opinions on the coffee vary, many find the selection of cakes and pastries underwhelming. Some patrons have faced disappointing experiences with food, such as improperly cooked sandwiches, while others rave about the exceptional homemade treats like scones and apple crumble. Service can be hit or miss, with mixed feedback on customer interactions. Overall, while the café features a warm ambiance and friendly staff, consistency in food quality and service may leave some diners seeking better options nearby.
First visit yesterday and was very impressed. Lovely friendly welcome even though it was very busy.
