Bassleton's Fish Bar takes pride in serving high-quality food, including Icelandic cod and haddock. Unlike many other chip shops, we hand-make our own chips without the use of any chemicals to keep them white. Our menu also includes homemade black peppered fish cakes and locally favorite chicken parmo. Our open kitchen allows customers to watch as we prepare and cook their meals. Voted one of the top 3 best fish and chip shops by the Evening Gazette, and awarded 5 stars for food hygiene in 2014, we have almost 20 years of experience in the chip shop trade. I went to this restaurant yesterday to get some takeaway fish and chips. The staff were friendly, but the battered items like fish, onion rings, and pineapple rings were very greasy.
