Bassleton's Fish Bar takes pride in serving high-quality food, including Icelandic cod and haddock. Unlike many other chip shops, we hand-make our own chips without the use of any chemicals to keep them white. Our menu also includes homemade black peppered fish cakes and locally favorite chicken parmo. Our open kitchen allows customers to watch as we prepare and cook their meals. Voted one of the top 3 best fish and chip shops by the Evening Gazette, and awarded 5 stars for food hygiene in 2014, we have almost 20 years of experience in the chip shop trade. Our awards come from the people who walk through our doors, not purchased. If you love fish and chips, Bassleton's Fish Bar is the place to be. The chips at this restaurant are delicious and definitely the best in Stokesley. The portion size is generous and the prices are very reasonable. The service is excellent, whether you dine in or take out. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a tasty and satisfying meal.

I went to this restaurant yesterday to get some takeaway fish and chips. The staff were friendly, but the battered items like fish, onion rings, and pineapple rings were very greasy. None of us were able to finish our meals. The staff was very helpful and friendly, making it a good option for families with kids. The service for takeout was efficient. The atmosphere was decent. Overall, the food quality was average, service was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The price per person is reasonable, ranging from £1-10.
