I ordered the chicken breast and I must say, it was of excellent restaurant quality. The atmosphere was enhanced by the music being played, which we really enjoyed. The drinks were top-notch, with a good variety to choose from, including two authentic ales. The food was outstanding, served promptly and piping hot with generous portions (especially the Sunday lunch), and incredibly delicious.

I enjoyed... read more I recently had Sunday lunch at The Prospect in Runcorn and I highly recommend it. The atmosphere was friendly and the restaurant was spotlessly clean. I enjoyed roast beef that was freshly cut from a joint, along with fresh vegetables, roast and mashed potatoes, and gravy. The portions were generous and the food was delicious and hot. For dessert, I had a delicious chocolate dessert with ice cream. I will definitely be returning and I also recommend trying their midweek menu.

Very... read more Well we did the right thing choosing here for our Sunday dinner. Big, big portions, plate was warm so it kept hot whilst we worked our way through it all. Very reasonably priced for the size. They also do an “ultra” sized portion where you get extra veg, pigs in blankets, stuffing etc. But no way could we have eaten any more than we did, glad we got the normal size. Staff were very pleasant and helpful
