Slate's And Bakery - Hallowell

The mimosas were delicious after my husband ?weak sauce?. We have both eggs Benedict, traditional. We enjoyed the ham and the Swiss take it. The Hollandaise sauce was very thin and the fried eggs boiled over, the potatoes under salt. We'd try them again. The aromas of the Benedict were there, and the presentation was good. The waitress was beautiful.

Great little place! Stop on brunch, wait about 10 minutes. Reservations are welcomed and encouraged. Had a delicious Teriyaki Tofu Scramble, that was just fabulous. Very recommended!!

It was an amazing experience. The waiter was incredibly quick to notice when you needed something, and found a way to ensure you got what you needed as soon as humanly possible. It was busy, but he still found time to entertain our kids on occasion. The food was wonderful, I don't think I've ever had better scallops anywhere.

Unbelievable food and atmosphere. Your menu is to die, the food is perfection, and they often have live music. There's a ton outside. A little expensive, but worth every penny. Can wait to go back!!!!

A beautiful place in the heart of the historic downtown of Hallowell. Outdoor seating with live musicians on the terrace. Our first time the chicken of the forest (wild Maine Pilz), one of today's specialties served with scallops over Linguine. Our server Jane was a gracious host. We're coming back! Very recommended for an evening.
