I paid only $6.50 CAD for one of the freshest and most delicious burgers I've ever had! They also specialize in hot dogs and poutine (fries covered in gravy), but I was craving a great burger—and that’s exactly what I got. It’s almost a literal "hole in the wall" spot, but definitely worth a visit. View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Willy's:
do not know they recommend this paying! to name the poutine and burger mediocre is beautiful. late night after drinks in the city and was completely disappointed, back to the hotel. Above, they think it was $26-$27 for a poutine and burger! that was insulting the mediocrity of the food that was the injury. will I have gone back? absolutely not. would rather have ordered uber eats to the hotel. Best poutine in Halifax, hands down. Gravy is good, beefy flavourful. Fries are great. Wish the curds were a little fresher but still the best overall poutine you can get around the HRM I think. Meal type: Other Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Fries, Classic Poutine
What can I say, they have great poutine for a fair price. Every time I meet up with someone who has never been to Canada before, I always send them to Willy's to get their first taste of poutine. The fries are great, the curds are great, the gravy is great, the sauces and add-ons are great. Never ordered the burgers or donairs myself, but I have never heard anything but love for them. Service: Takeaway Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes: Classic Poutine, Pulled Pork Poutine, Donair Sauce, Garlic Maya Vegetarian options: The base poutine is vegetarian friendly, and they have added a veggie burger option.

This was our first time ordering from this restaurant, as we are from out of town. We ordered the burger with all the toppings and two orders of fries with gravy. We were pleased that we could have our food delivered to our hotel at 3:00 in the afternoon. The person who answered the phone was very friendly and patient with us. We will definitely eat here again when we return to Halifax and would recommend Willy's Fresh Cut Fries. It was the best burger we've had in a long time!
I'm new to Halifax (only a few months here) and I have to say that (so far), this place has the best burgers and poutine I've had in this city. The burger patty is thick, and delicious, with the perfect amount of topping portions. I like a little chew to my burger (instead of medium rare and soft almost mushy chew) and this burger delivered!I would recommend this place for anyone craving a great burger especially at a decent price.
Damn good burger and poutine. I love the burgers, and my daughter loves their poutine. This place might be the dictionary definition of 'hole in the wall '. Right now, there is only one place downtown that I will buy a burger and that is Willy 's. Often when I am eating at a place like this I try to think how they could make it better; with Willy 's I don 't know what I could suggest.

It's a farewell place, no seats. It was cold, but I'm glad I tried: Nice guys, big burgers, I'll come back sooner than later
Delicious burgers and fantastic crispy fresh cuts. The frits were salted perfectly. We have the work on our burgers and got 2 big frits for 2 adults and 4 children to share. It was the right amount of pommes. All in all a good experience.
We arrived late in halifax (after 10 o'clock) and found it difficult to find restaurants that are still open for eating. we went to the city and found willy’s. the poutine has hit the place full! fast, and good service and good quality inexpensive boats! both children, woman and I enjoyed. the next day to the request of our 14-year-old son :

Wanted something quick and casual for lunch, and decided a burger and fries were the best option after seeing some of the reviews of this place.. Located in an area of downtown that likely caters to a late night crowd, there are more than a few options of places to go. I ordered a burger and a small poutine, which was made to order in about 10 minutes. Huge thumbs up for local, fresh ingredients. The poutine was excellent, the burger was OK. It tasted like something I'd eat at home (meaning, it lacked a bit of something) but both portions were huge. Great spot for that hamburger craving, if you want something more local..

After a cool evening stroll, we needed a snack and decided upon poutine at Willy's. We were treated to delicious and hot fries with a generous serving of cheese curds and gravy. Hit the spot perfectly! Open late to meet late appetites.
I love this place so muchI would eat their poutine with extra curds every day for the rest of my life.
The fries were excellent but the veggie burger really surprised me, really tasty, juicy, just perfect, even if you're a carnivore you should give it a try. I ordered the medium sized fries and I had trouble finishing them. Very friendly staff, you can take it to go or eat it in front of the nearby church. They open at noon.
