my favorite things in tar soul are not vegan: her cream cheese, her bagels and her hot chocolate. but they are all vegetarian. the suppe of the day is almost always vegan and is delicious without a waste. the employees are more than happy to note each individual ingredient in each treatment, so that their nutritional restrictions are taken into account. they are closed on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, which is regrett... I had a delicious lunch at Tart and Soul. The homemade tomato pepper soup and biscuit were excellent, and the portion size was generous for a fair price. The oatcakes were also fantastic. Although it was busy around 11:30-12:30, it quickly quieted down before and after. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and books for sale by donation. Overall, it was a great experience and I will definitely be returning.
This restaurant is the perfect spot to enjoy an Americano, as well as indulge in their delicious desserts and sandwiches! Great place to grab a drink and a bite to eat.
Probably the most reliable americano in HRM hot, strong enough, and using locally roasted beans. also, really excellent montreal ish style bagels. if they had a wood fired oven, they might be unstoppable.
A student favorite, this cafe serves up delicious eats and drinks with plenty of veggie options. Prices are comparable to other local spots and service is fast and friendly. Also a great atmosphere inside with plenty of seating. Get there early on the weekend or they may be sold out of many favorites!
