Contribute FeedbackSushi Nami Royale in Halifax presents a mixed dining experience for guests. The restaurant boasts a bright and clean atmosphere, with friendly servers who aim to please. While some diners rave about the delicious sashimi and well-presented dishes, others critique the bland sushi and limited menu selections. Service can be hit-or-miss, with reports of communication barriers and minor mishaps. However, many appreciate the dedicated staff and the variety of options, including a gluten-free menu. Overall, while some aspects are commendable, consistency in food quality and service remains a point of contention, leading to varied customer experiences.
For the context, we were in Halifax on vacation for a week. Found Nami on this website and decided to try it. Although the place is lovely and bright, we found the food bland and boring. The selection is basic, limited to the usual tuna and salmon and few more. We had a little bit of everything and, unfortunately, we were not impressed. In addition, the service was subpar as well. Our server was a lovely young Japanese woman, and, because she was still learning English, we had some communication issues. We asked for recommendations and it became obvious that she was not able to provide any. It seemed that she was still in training and she forgot to bring plates and wasabi, and messed up a simple tea order. In conclusion, we were disappointed with the service and also the food , as we expected better selection and quality, considering the quality of the fish and lobster we had in other restaurants in Halifax.
Great sushi In a cool vibe service was not the best I think our waitress was very new but we worked through it
There’s a guy named Patrick, who work at reception mostly. He’s such a nice guy that I don’t have any words to describe. He is always smiling and working and being polite and generous to people. If the owner or manager of restaurant, who is reading my review, please never miss the chance to appreciate this guy especially he is such a wonderful gift for the restaurant.
They have a separate gluten-free menu, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Their vegetarian rolls are just as good as the non veggie, and I find myself craving it regularly since my first visit.
Hungry and still particular to quality food. So my wife and I were looking for a place to eat today. July 292023 at 4pm. Dartmouth Crossing has quite a few places to eat but most were common fast food places you see everywhere. Sushi Nami menu looked good and prices as expected. So we decided that we wanted sushi above all else. Wide open space inside, very bright, clean and not very busy in the late afternoon, as expected. The menu , four pages worth We ordered the Edamame, Mango Salad, Maki Dinner, Sweet Potato Maki, and Deluxe Moriawase. Dessert was lastly fried banana with three scoops of ice cream for the three pieces of banana… mango, black sesame and green tea ice creams Rather than go through in detail the why I would recommendation I will simply put it this way. Absolutely. Absolutely absolutely would I recommend this place. The service, the atmosphere, the choices, the serving the taste the prices everything about Sushi Nami Royale Is worth it. Our total bill for everything including $20 tip was $111.31 for two people and a lot of delicious food. I give it a 12/10
