Awesome time here, can't say enough about the quality of the food and the interesting options. Do yourself a favour and try the dumplings, they are amazing. Not the biggest on-tap selection, but a good spread of cocktails, wine and beer available. Theservice was a bit slow, seemed like they may have been understaffed on the day of our visit. Still, the servers that were therewere very personable and pleasant.

Side Hustle came recommended by a few people, and it did not disappoint! Everything we ordered was fantastic. The server was new and lovely, and everyone around us was raving about their food too. I can?t wait to have a reason to drive to the city again tovisit Side Hustle.

Fantastic in every way. Great food. Great location. Great atmosphere. Great service. If in Dartmouth make sure to check it out. If in Halifax it's worth the short water taxi ride across the harbour and the 2 minute walk up the hill. You will not bedisappointed.

This was our best serendipitous restaurant during a 4-day June 2022 trip to Greater Halifax. We very much enjoyed our Buddha Bowl with egg, crispy chicken and vegetables and we split a bottle of house white wine. The food was wonderfully seasoned andproved to be plenty in one order for the two of us to share. The energy in the restaurant was great, and the service kind andattentive. As my partner said, ?This was not a ?destination restaurant,? but a lucky find that met all our needs.? Highlyrecommended.

We were super excited to check out the new location, and are so glad we did! We thoroughly enjoyed our Smashies and Mac Fries, hands down our favourite burger in town. The new location is super cute and very welcoming! Our server, Gen, was awesome, and wecan?t wait to join you again! Thank you, Gen!

The gluten-free smash burger at this restaurant is amazing. My wife was able to fulfill her years-long craving for the Big Mac flavor. The bun is great and holds together well. The restaurant also has a designated gluten-free work station now.

The majority of the menu at this restaurant is gluten-free or can be adjusted to be gluten-free. The staff were very knowledgeable and mentioned that about a quarter of their customers have celiac disease. I tried the incredible gluten-free fried chicken sandwich with a tasty bun and cheese fries - it was the best gluten-free meal I've had in a while. They also have dedicated gluten-free fryers!

The menu changes regularly, so the amount of gluten free choices may vary, but they have a fryer specifically for gluten free items and usually offer a great dish that is fry-based. The staff is well-informed and I have never encountered any problems here. While another review mentions that the food can be overly salty, I personally do not enjoy overly salted dishes, but I have never experienced this issue with my food at this restaurant.

I called before I went and asked about the gluten free options. I figured because of the seperate fryer and the reviews and gluten free on the menu that this would be a safe place for me to get some food with my brother and his friends. Unfortunately, i was wrong. The food was great, but any crliac or gluten intolerant person knows that it is not worth it.

I like salt. Before I was celiac I ate at McDonald's and put an entire salt packet on my fries. This was too much salt. Otherwise so extremely good. It's unfortunate. The fries and brownie dessert had too much salt added after cooking. I would definitely come back and try asking for less salt. I had the fried chicken burger and garlic cheese fries. What. A. Chicken. Burger. Wow. My celiac daughter had the Mac fries. I would get those next time. They tasted exactly like a Big Mac and weren't as salty as mine. My husband got the Smashie burger and garlic cheese fries. He said it tasted exactly like Macdonald's too, which wasn't nearly exciting for him since he can still eat there. His fries were also too salty. The fryer here doesn't have any gluten in it I was told, so no chance of cross contamination that way. The buns tasted like Udi’s. Sauces were delicious. Atmosphere was fantastic. Service was awesome.

The menu rotates so that the number of gluten-free options varies, but they have a special frit and often have a good fry-based dish. the personal is knowledgeable and I never had a problem here. another review mentions that it is extremely salty, and I don't like much salt, but I never had happened to my eating here.

Went for Burger Bash and had a delicious chicken burger with garlic cheese fries. I asked and they confirmed they have a dedicated gluten free fryer.

I called before I left and asked for the gluten-free options. I thought because of the seperate frit and the reviews and gluten-free on the menu, that this would be a safer place for me to get something to eat with my brother and his friends. I was wrong. eating was great, but everyone crumbles or gluten intolerances knows it's not worth it.

Amazing food. The Smashie Burger is my favourite. Fresh made and grilled perfectly. The staff are amazing and the place has a great casual vibe!

Excellent food, friendly staff, and a neat atmosphere.I rated staff 4/5 only because our first waitress was new and kept leaving when we were trying to order. That was rectified later. The atmosphere is very nice during the day, bright, lots of plants, etc. But at night it is incredibly loud to the point you cannot have a conversation with the person next to you without yelling (which makes it worse for everyone). This may be the vibe they are going for, but it's not for us. We will stick to lunchtime visits or ordering.Food tho was super yummy!!

My first time experiencing Side Hustle Snack Bar was with old friends. We visited 7p on a Friday and snuck into the last seat by the door. The atmosphere was buzzing, and it was great to see. The food was delish, as were the drinks. The service was friendly but very slow, even for a full house standard. I'll definitely go back. Hopefully, it'll be on a less busy night.Price range reflects a meal, and 2 cocktails with tip.

Side Hustle boasts a trendy industrial atmosphere, but it faces a couple of challenges. The noise level is quite high due to the tall ceilings and reflective surfaces. I visited with a group of three during a moderate rush, and we found ourselves nearly shouting to communicate. The service was also slow. As a former bartender, I understand that there are often unseen issues behind the scenes, but we were seated for nearly 20 minutes without even being able to order drinks, which is unacceptable. The burger is priced at $15 before tax and tip, and fries are an additional $5, which seems excessive to me. Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food because we decided to leave. While I’m pleased to hear that others have had better experiences, I doubt we’ll be returning.

Side hustle is a great addition to dartmouth. the room itself is very comfortable and large enough to accommodate large groups. the menu is not huge, but they made a really good effort to have strong vegan options that are all marked on the menu. the cauliflower and pakoras are both excellent.

Lost my business . used to come get a growler every other weekend . foods actually pretty good. but after burger week i wont be back... they refused to sell me burger without mayo .... so if u have an allergy or just msy be a picky eater ... not your place to go

We come here often and have never had a bad experience. The food is excellent , the waitstaff friendly and helpful and the chocolate chip cookies are to die for! Oh and the beer is good too

Great food! Great patio!!

This was our first time visiting Side Hustle. The food was absolutely delicious and the beers and drinks were excellent. Looking forward to visiting soon again!
