I love the wood fire oven pizza from this establishment. The beet salad is equally amazing. The burger week burger was also tasty. I eat here regularly and have never had a bad experience. Great place to pull up a seat at the bar solo for a drink andapertivo or to go on a date night with your partner. Atmospheric and the staff are friendly. Cannot suggest this place enough. What K M doesn't like about Piatto Pizzeria Enoteca:
At the end of our meal, the owner approached our table uninvited on the day of the trucker protests and started passive aggressively engaging on the topic, calling it a happy parade with happy people with flags. He was rude and lingered until we asked him to leave. Never going back. View all feedback.
Staff was super friendly and did a great job. Had a the beet salad and it was delicious! The a couple of pizzas not were very nicely done and super tasty!
The staff is great and accommodating. Live the lunch special is available on the weekends also. The calabrese salami is the perfect spicy. I'll keep coming back when I'm in town.
Stepping into Piatto is akin to crossing the border into a modernized Italy. You're with a smile, as you glance to your left and right, realized you're surrounded by vintage mopeds. though high ceilings and an open concept conceal the aromatic nature of the pizza maker, when you do get a whiff of freshly cooked cheese, your mouth begins its journey towards excitement. Once you're seated, inevitably an Aperol spritz will reach your lips as they do in the motherland. Throughout my journeys in the country of Italy, I have enocuntered several Aperol Spritzs, and I have to say... this one... was aggressively mediocre. But for Canadian standards, on a sunny Sunday afternoon, it sufficed. Arancini. One word, three risotto and cheese stuffed balls, an ungodly amount of joy. The single best starter in Halifax belongs to Piatto and comes in the form of explosive, mouthwatering, marinara soaked bundles of happiness. If you come here and do no get these three balls, then you will go home having come up shy of your full potential as a human being. Pizza was aight, but wet lmao.
So this was the first time we tried this restaurant for a delivery and had the Margarita and the Stephanie pizzas. Having been to Naples and had eaten Italian pizza I must admit I was a bit skeptical that even with their advertised VPN certification that it would come close to the real thing. Well cancel that trip to Italy (at least to eat pizza. This pizza is the real deal. The crust the sauce the mozzarella exquisite!!! Both were so delicious and what other restaurant double boxes their pizza and tells you how to heat up the leftovers??? As if there would be any leftovers??? Well done Piatto moves into my #1 pizza position! Cannot recommend it highly enough...
Had a fantastic dinner at Piatto thanks to our amazing server Elizabeth. We ordered the The Stephanie and the Amanti, both were very good, but The Stephanie might be my favourite pizza in the city after tonight. We'll definitely be back for more!
