While on a business trip in Halifax, staying at the nearby Westin, I ordered a chow mein for take-out from this place. The person I talked to on the phone was courteous and even customized my order by making the dish with shrimp, pork and chicken instead of the single meat option from the menu. I am thrilled to have discovered an excellent Asian restaurant in Halifax, possibly the best Vietnamese spot around. My friends tried their signature dish, Bun Bo Hue, and they were blown away by how amazing it was. The broth and meat had a perfect balance of flavors. I opted for the Chicken Stir Fry with Vegetables and Rice, and it exceeded all expectations. For dessert, we tried the Deep Fried Banana with Ice Cream, which was a delightful combination. However, the standout for me was the Vietnamese Coffee. The preparation method was intriguing, and the flavor surpassed any Cold Brew I have ever tasted. Excuse my language, but it was truly pho-king amazing. Another hidden gem in Halifax, without a doubt.
Always delicious, we've eaten here so many times now. This is our go-to place to eat Pho and Vietnamese food. It's not just the amazingly tasty food though, great service and a clean restaurant help as well. We highly recommend!
The food at this restaurant is flavorful and delightful. I particularly enjoy their pho dish. The broth is slightly light, which suits my taste perfectly. The service is friendly and attentive, and the prices are fair.
I had an amazing experience with the pho bbq pork dish at this restaurant. The extra meat and broccoli were delicious, with the broccoli being perfectly sized for a single bite and cooked to perfection. The service was friendly and not intrusive. I will definitely return next time I'm in Halifax, and my university son will be a frequent visitor as well.
The Missus and I along with our travelling Maritimes group tried Pho Maniac after our downtown Halifax boardwalk. We were pleasantly surprised at the taste of the food. Prices are more or less to what we are used to on the West Coast. Definitely would recommend for a change of pace.
