I love visiting mid morning during the week when there is always a free table to enjoy the aromas, a coffee, pastry, and read the paper. All of the pastries I have tried have been excellent. Croissants - buttery and flaky Apple "turnover" - fresh, crispy, filled to perfection My favourite, the cinnamon tourbillon - a perfect amount of cinnamon and sweetness. The Americano coffee is one of the best in the city - strong,... Undoubtedly one of the best bakeries in the city. From the moment you walk in, it just feels "right", not pretentious or overly designed, but a welcoming and charming bakery that feels as if its been here for a very long time. The space is small but cozy, and uses the perfect shade of blue throughout. Wonderful service with attentive staff who take care in what they are doing. The atmosphere, prices and people make this bakery a very comfortable spot. There are various types of breads, croissants, tarts and other pastry items on hand - the best variety is available if you come in early. The gruyère, chocolate coconut and almond croissants are all excellent. The pipito, palmiers and cinnamon pastries are a fave of ours as well. Mochas are great and more on the rich end than sweet, which I prefer, and spending a small amount of change on Chocolate Hackers chocolate is worth it. Very smooth, high quality. The only disappointing thing is no cold coffees, but that is hardly worth complaining about. Bravo LF Bakery!

This was just across from our Theatre Lofts AirBnB, and my husnamd ventured out one morning to find breakfast. He brought back the best croissants and chocolatini we've had (and we've had some good ones!). This is a busy little spot. Unfortunately one morning they were understaffed so there was a long wait...but a worthwhile wait.
This is by far the best bakery in all of Halifax. Amazing tasting bread! We pick up bread and croissants every weekend. High quality, amazingly friendly staff, and unpretentious.
This place was only a block away from the loft my family rented for our Nova Scotia vacation, and it became our "go to" place for coffee every morning. The coffee was excellent, but the croissants and other bakery treats were amazing. All were freshly prepared and warm out of the oven delicious. The staff was very friendly as well. I will miss this place!

Seriously the best croissant I've had since I moved out of Quebec 30 years ago. Will definitely be back often.
Just one word: delicious! Make sure to also try their teas. This authentic French bakery from France right in our own backyard is a dream come true. The delicious aroma of freshly baked goods fills the air every day.
Discovered this wonderful place by accident while taking a different walking route from my home to the office. Excellent baked goods and coffee plus the service is superb. Definitely a place that you will want to return to time and delicious time again.
They had the best almond croissant I ever had. Really great, will check out more! Excellent palmiers.

Love their sourdough. Especially the walnut sourdough. No longer a big fan of their pastries. But the quality of their sourdough is quite stable. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Ok. Breakfast sandwich had a bit too much sprouts but otherwise taste was good. Coffee was tasty. Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3
