Was Anonym at Just Spring Roll a mag?
I have been following this family around for years and absolutely love their food. They used to own a restaurant called Saigon Nuit decades ago and it was my favourite in Halifax at the time. Later, they opened Cap St. Jacques and I started going...More View all feedback.
What Anonym dislikes about Just Spring Roll:
I recently had lunch here and enjoyed the roast chicken with rice and salad. It was very good and reasonably priced. This is a little spot located close to the theatre on the lower level in Parklane on Spring Garden Road. A & W and Goodlife are close by as well. Nice change for lunch rather than grabbing a burger. The food at this restaurant is delicious and the service is quick and friendly. It's perfect for a quick meal. The menu is very accommodating for vegetarians and vegans, but there are also plenty of options for non-vegetarian eaters.
The service was excellent and the food was fresh and delicious. The flavors in the stir fry sauce and rice were amazing! We live a few hours away, otherwise we would definitely eat here more often.
I stumbled upon this restaurant by accident, but I had heard they had vegan options. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about their vegan menu. We ordered two vegetable, tofu, and noodle dishes, along with some spring rolls. The service was quick and the staff was very friendly. The prices were reasonable and the food was fantastic! It was probably some of the best vegan food I have had in a while. The spring rolls were definitely the best in town!
WIsh I had known about this adorable little retro chic hole in the wall restaurant hidden away in the basement of the Park Lane Mall earlier. What a gem! They have both meat and vegetarian/vegan dishes which is great for me because it can be tough to find affordable vegan food to eat out. An, the owner is very friendly and knowledgable. I ordered the tofu curry on vermicelli noodles (pictured). It was very flavorful and delicious and also extremely well priced. I am definitely going to be a regular. (It can be hard to find, but it's next to the movie theatre entrance next to A&W)

I got the pork bahn mi which used to be my favourite bahn mi in town. The pork was more like shaved deli beef in appearance, texture, taste. And there were no Thai chilies in the bahn mi. It was so disappointing and a waste of money. Will have to look elsewhere for a good bahn mi now. :
I have been a regular at this restaurant for over 2 years. The food has been consistently fresh and tasty with the exception of a few changes under the current new ownership, which were changed back quickly), but I am now noticing that portions are much smaller and prices have gone up. Not a lot, but still, less food for more money. I will still eat here, but less often.
This is a true hidden gem. They have amazing meat and vegan options which is super uncommon at this price range, they are actually affordable! The people who work there seem to be a family? They are all super nice and friendly and easy to talk to, make sure to check this place out if you get the chance!
Absolutely delicious, and it's priced competitively. (Especially for how good it is) I had tofu curry, they were out but she made it fresh.Store was open later than posted. Which I hope isn't because they aren't getting enough customers. People should eat here when in this mall! The mall has not much to offer, except this little delicious secret on the bottom floor.

Kinda came in by chance, but had heard that she offered vegan food. The owner was super friendly and informative about their vegan options. We ordered 2 of their vegetable, tofu and noodle plates and some spring rolls. The service was fast and very friendly. The prices were reasonable and the food was amazing! Probably some of the best vegan-friendly food I had in quite sometime. Best spring rolls in town safe!
Stops here before they see a movie at the neighboring theatre. I enjoyed a plate of pad thai and an early roll. both were delicious and the pad thai was freshly made on order. I appreciate that they asked if I wanted to stab.( I have no allergy to peanuts, but know people who do this, and this is a very serious matter that was thought here). the menu is not huge, it is a small kiosk with limited kitchen space in a shopping center. the offered items looked good and the combination plates were good. the owners were friendly and accommodating.

Was here before. they advertise as thai, but it's more like eating Chinese. it is ok for a fast cheap lunch
Stopped here prior to seeing a movie at the adjacent theater. I enjoyed a plate of pad Thai and a spring roll. Both were tasty and the pad Thai was made fresh to order. I appreciated the fact that they asked if I wanted peanuts...(I do not have a peanut allergy, but know people who do and this is a very serious matter that was thoughtfully addressed here). The menu isn't huge it is a small kiosk with limited kitchen space located inside a mall. The items on offer looked good and the combination plates were good value. The owners were friendly and accommodating.
