My review is for the new restaurant that is located on hwy 104 just past antigonish. The meals that we have had on two occasions have been totally YUM.The menu is a little limited just now as they are only recently opened but this is a case of do a few things well rather than lots in a mediocre fashion. The fish is very fresh and if you want it sautéed instead of breaded, thank goodness it is an option. I have issues with wheat and this is a very big thing for me. And the fact the fish just melts in your mouth helps too. The chef knows seafood! The fries are REAL and not the usual frozen bag stuff. This visit I also tried the Portuguese fish cakes with salt cod. They were perfect. Just the right amount of salt and the crisp cooked outside was mouth watering to even write about later. All of the little things are done right . that includes the coleslaw that was the right side for seafood. This is a very casual place that is just doing it right and the prices are very fair. Yes, This is where you should stop ;^)
Was charged $11.70 tax on a $21.50 order and could not get it refunded. They had taken my money and given change.... no receipt given either. I'm a senior woman closer to 70 than 60, so I couldn't exactly wrestle it back. Furious!
Thought we would give it a try too hot to cook today. Very nice and friendly Fries were really good. Fish was really good batter is thin to the point of almost pan fried. I like a little more batter, I would go back.
This is my go-to spot for Korean and Japanese cuisine every time I visit Hamilton. I highly recommend trying the stonebowl bibimbop.
