Had the Donair poutine and my husband had the donair sub. Tasted good, it was inexpensive, the staff were pleasant, and we left full. No bathroom, but we were only there for a bit and they provide much needed wet naps! View all feedback.

read moreJohnny K's in Halifax is known for their classic donair, a local favorite, but opinions on the quality vary. While some feel it falls short of being the best in the city, with limited toppings and a divisive sweet sauce, others find it satisfying, especially for a late-night snack. The poutine also earns praise, with a generous serving of cheese and gravy. Despite the lack of a bathroom, the inexpensive prices, friendly staff, and delicious food make Johnny K's a popular choice for locals and visitors alike. Overall, Johnny K's offers a taste of Halifax's iconic cuisine in a casual, no-frills setting.
