A little bakery along this busy street, is selling delicious baked bagels and breads. Incredible staff the Saturday morning we were there. The shop did remind me of a Montreal bakery, it isn't fancy, but the product is wonderful. Sesame bagels are drowning in seeds, the bagel texture chewing but light. Amazing. I recently bought a chala bread at the bakery and the dough had not risen properly and as such it was quite dense. This is not what you would expect from a quality bakery. East Coast Bakery is the place for the most beautiful bagels, cookies, bread and other amazing bakeries. This is a commercial bakery however with a retail front, so you actually see that they take the product out of the oven. Super friendly staff with a delicious dog treat when you bring a furry friend. Get there early on weekend for Bagels as they sell, but bread is not ready until 11, but you can pay in advance and back to collect it. And you will return as it is so fresh and perfect for any sandwich or peanut butter spread!
Was here a few times. the personal is really friendly and the Bagels/Brote are really good. the next trip to quinpool.
This is one of my favorite places in Halifax. The bagels are delicious and the cookies are delicious. You make this great chocolate filled bread and it is wonderful. The people who work there are very friendly and we talked to the owner more than one occasion.
Very friendly staff, jerry is a jewel. challah brot and bagels are baked à la real montreal fashion and make sure to try the cookies. they are delicious. place doesn't try too hard. just a great bakery.
