A neighbourhood pizza place that I had overlooked because it has an unassuming facade and is set back from the road. Glad that I phoned for pick-up one Friday evening. Vegetarian pizza has a nice variety of fresh ingredients, not an overabundance of cheese or tomato sauce. Great crust ! View all feedback.
What Power B doesn't like about Dimitris Pizza & Donair:
If my memory serves me right I would have to say the quality has gone down hill! I arrived 5 minutes before suggested. The feta cheese was dried out crust reminded me of a pre-made/ baked crust . For a $27 pizza I was quite disappointed . Won t s be back. View all feedback.
Best Pizza in Halifax! They have delicious garlic fingers and donair sauce. Pizza toppings are endless and all so fresh! Literally my favourite pizza spot. Their dough is on point! You cannot miss it! They’re fast, friendly and tasty! I also love the Manoosh option they have!! A must try!

We've been going to Dimitri's for years and we're even more satisfied now than we were 15 years ago. Nowadays, we buy whole wheat thin crust pizzas. Usually half "works", with half "hawaiian". We've never been disappointed.
Dimitris is a great choice for pizza in the west end of Halifax. They are very accommodating. They didn't have thin crust on the menu, but will do it upon request.
Prior to our first trip to Halifax from where we live in the USA, my husband selected this restaurant for being able to try some regional cuisine after finding a blog where a couple of the posters had stated that this place was a hidden gem.Following the directions there, we passed many other pizza and donnair establishments on busy commercial roads to arrive at this place sitting by itself on a little side road and unassuming in the city. When we got out of the car, we had some reservations looking at the place because it seemed kind of barren and offered nothing for sizing the place up visually. We decided to eat here anyhow since we were here, and because of the hidden gem comments my husband had read about. We ordered the garlic fingers, the Donnair, and Poutine. This was our first experience with these items, so we cannot compare it to those of any other restaurants, however, we were very pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of our order. The garlic fingers are similar to the breadsticks found in many pizza places found here in the USA, but were far better. They were very tender, toasted to perfection and the garlic flavor was not overbearing. The Donnair was quite a treat. Frankly, I would prefer one of these to a steak and cheese sub that is common here in the States. They were anything but chintzy with their meat, having stuffed the donnair. Most surprising to us was the texture of the bread. The bread had a texture half way between a pita and a pancake. We have never had bread with such a texture before. While I prefer my fries with chili and cheese, the gravy on the poutine was fresh and rich. The staff was very friendly, and we engaged in a nice conversation with them. The prices were very fair.
