Boomers lounge was a great place 20 years ago and still pretty good 10 years ago but was closed and the Midtown Tavern took over the space - MidTown is a basic tavern with usually decent tavern (not Pub) food and very good service View all feedback.

This restaurant in Downtown Halifax has an awesome and unique atmosphere that is quiet and secluded.
During my time in Halifax, I visited the Economy Shoe Shop (RIP, as it's closing soon) with some friends for dinner and drinks.

Good home style food....friendly staff...good location for attending events at the Scotia Bank Centre.
