The eclectic decor and lively ambiance make for a fun night out, with great customer service and classic martini options being highlighted. With late-night hours and welcoming staff, Bitter End seems to be a hit or miss depending on the night, but for those looking for a vibrant atmosphere and quality drinks, it's worth a visit.
It has been years since we visited Bitter End, so we went in for drinks while waiting to go to the theatre. Service was good, but our server must have been new, because she did not know much about the menu and had to go check on a number of items. I recall this place as being an elegant place to eat, but it is looking a bit run down now. However, we enjoyed our visit and the location is excellent.
Open later than other locations nearby, which is the reason we stopped in. I'm very glad we did! The stuffed chicken was delightful and sweet the waiter's recommendation. Tasty salad as well!
Music's EQ was horrendous, could only hear the acoustic guitar blasting, couldnt hear my friends or the singer. Furthermore, the food was disappointingly average. The vibe is very nice, however, and I loved the decor
Must visit on Mondays, service is a bit lacking but the drinks are great
Absolute worst service I've ever experienced we had been there for a couple hours enjoying their cocktails, when it seemed like the serving staff had completely forgotten about us. The service was slow and unreliable to begin with, but at one point it had been a whole hour since anyone came to check on us. We were ready to order more drinks but after having waited so long, we just got our bills (which took another 30 minutes), because the person previously serving us was now working the bar, and no one had picked up his table, I guess? I still haven't heard back from management with regards to this experience my guess is they make enough money from the younger crowds that they don't care about the quality of what they offer. There are FAR better options for a cocktail in Halifax try Walter's on Barrington!
