Beaver Sailor Diner - Halifax

I love this hidden gem it's my favourite place to go and eat noodles, especially in the winter time. It's the coziest noodle nook in town! Great prices, warm and friendly service, and handmade noodles. Great spot.

I am Chinese, hold this place to the standards of Hong Kong or other parts of China would not be very fair or even to Toronto. Their noodles are good but not something that wowed me and I probably won't be going back as I feel I can do better at home stewing my own beef. I do however highly recommend this to anyone in Halifax looking for some decent Chinese noodle soup as there are not many places in Halifax for this. A very good effort, I commend them.

Delicious decent Chinese food here, had supper here every week while I'm in town

Obviously a family run business, which is great. Interesting menu of soup and noodle dishes. I ordered the braised beef ramen. I got a good sized, piping hot bowl of rich beef broth with perfectly al dente, freshly prepared noodles, and tender, flavourful beef chunks. I added a splash of dark vinegar and a couple dollops of a chili paste I found on the condiment shelf on the wall and it took it from 9 to an 11! The cherry on top was when the lady I assume made my food came and sat down and started knitting. I definitely recommend a stop in here.

Halifax has plenty choices of restaurants but if you want something good, inexpensive Chinese food but high quality, this is the place for you. Good portions, drinks are awesome and good place to eat especially after 6 or 7pm. Thanks again!
