Feedback
Baton Rouge offers a friendly atmosphere and attentive service. While some diners were disappointed by the portion sizes and steak preparation, others found the food incredible and the service outstanding. The lobster stuffed mushrooms are a must-try appetizer. The quality of the food and excellent service from servers like Sandi and Aaron make it a top choice for many, with the Cajun blackened steak and surf and turf receiving high praise. Baton Rouge remains a favorite for special occasions, with the lobster tail and filet mignon standing out as a highlight.
Definely one of my most recommended restaurants when people ask for a nice place to have a great sit down meal.__Food is always amazing Love the Big
Don't know why it took us so long to try this placeMaybe because we tend to steer away from franchise and chain restaurants.
I'm pretty picky, and have fairly high expectations in any dining establishment that I go to. Our server was very friendly and would check on our table often, making sure our drinks were full, which was great. I'm terrible at remembering names, but she was really stand out to me based on how good she was at her job. Our food came quickly and our starters were all delicious ( the lobster stuffed mushrooms were especially good!) However the mains for 2/4 of us were a let down. When I order my steak medium, that's what I expect to get. 2 of us ordered medium and both of us get extremely rare. Neither of us could finish. The server offered to put them back on the grill but at that point, it was too late. Overall for what you pay, I honestly believe there are many better places in Halifax for a meal. There's nothing awful about Baton Rouge, I just can think of several other places where I can pay the same price and get better quality, and a steak that's cooked correctly.
My wife and I went on the Beer Bus tour and had a great time. It was definitely worth the money!
