A Really fab place to stay.The manager showed us to our bedroom explained everything we needed to know,he was very polite and friendly. Bedroom was spotlessly clean,the bed and pillows were really very comfy, we both had a wonderful nights sleep as its very quiet. Breakfast was brilliant. A very good choice with plenty to choose from, what made it extra special was service with a smile and very helpful staff. Kelsey was amazing, even booking a taxi for us to go to Piece Hall Yard. Kelsey and Lucy were really friendly and served us our lovely breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for these two lovely young ladies. Thomas who cleaned our room did a great job, another friendly helpful member of the team.The evening meal we had in the restaurant was absolutely delicious, even though the restaurant and bar were really busy, we didn't wait long for our meal. We both had the fish, chips and peas.The fish was huge, batter lovely and crispy, Perfect.! and hot.! We can't wait to stay again.. Definitely our to go too place next time we visit this area. Everything was excellent. Couldn't wish for anything better.!! . Well done all of you.

I am reviewing the room and the breakfast here and the pub food in a separate review. Right from the minute I rang to make a reservation, I was amazed by the professionalism and willingness to help of Elle, the bar manager. She went above and beyond to help, even asking about the age of our child to make sure she could give us the most suitable room and bed. She greeted us like friends when we arrived and showed us to the room personally, explaining everything. She then made sure to come and chat with us later to check everything was Ok. The room itself was lovely and perfect for a little family. The bed was one of the comfiest I have ever slept in. It was spotless and tastefully decorated and had everything needed to be cosy and make us feel at home for the night, even a mini breakfast bar to eat or work at. The bathroom was lovely and shower was great. It was very quite, even though the pub was underneath us. The breakfast was fantastic. Amazing coffee (often lacking in hotels) and freshly cooked tasty food that made the price of the room (which was decent without the fab breakfast) even better value. We chatted with the lovely breakfast staff and one of the owners, who made it clear that his guests really matter to him. We actually couldn't believe how good this place was. Not only would I stay there again, I will be actively looking for an excuse to.

The food was absolutely amazing! The pub itself is lovely and welcoming. My only issue was that one particular member of staff was speaking loudly about cutting staff hours and their behaviours which I found unprofessional. Due to this conversation we sat for a while with plates to clear. This would not stop me coming again.

Stayed in number 4 for a wedding on the bank holiday. Absolutely spot on . Whole place great value for money. £59 a beautiful breakfast for 2 Excellent clean and comfortable beds . Thank you , will definitely come back. Don’t change anything.

Excellent friendly service, clean and tidy room. Home made black pudding on the breakfast was absolutely fantastic.. would definitely return
