Sam's Chowder House - Half Moon Bay

One of the most disorganized, disrespectful and chaotic dining experiences I had. We were sat outside, the rain started, and instead of moving outdoor tables inside, the hosts kept seating newcomers while water was pooling in our mains.when we pointed this out, the servers just said there was nothing that could be done. I went inside and l o and behold, plenty of empty tables and only when I pointed this out were we moved inside. When we did, they left our food out for a good 15 minutes everything was soaked and cold by the time they finally brought it in (they failed to bring our beers in). They also got our order wrong initially. All this while dozens of servers were milling about. To top it all off, the ladies restroom had all of two stalls (one of which had a broken lock) and subsequently a huge queue. The food was mediocre and salty but what really topped it all was the rude and dismissive attitude of the servers who did nothing to make our experience enjoyable.

We had a great experience here. The staff is very friendly and great service. We sat outside and the views were amazing!!! Food was very good. I highly recommend this place! Thank you!

I loved this restaurant it was my first time there with a friend. The food was good and the service was excellent. The atmosphere by the water was very nice. I give this restaurant a 10.

Some of the best seafood around. Nice atmosphere. Can eat inside... or order to go. Patio overlooks the beach and the Pacific.
