Absolutely worth the effort: Get a reservation. Enjoy the wait staff personable without being overly friendly (i.e. professional Enjoy the meal. We had Chicken Marsala and Penne a Vodka. Stuffed faccacia balls for antipasto. Wines by the glass were appropriately priced the cabernet was delicious. Too full to order dessert. Enjoy View all feedback.
What Diane Sharpe doesn't like about It's Italia:
Waiter was not very attentive. I brought my 94 year old father and 88 year old mother for their 72st wedding anniversary. Both the hostess that seated us and the waiter knew of the occasion. We did not receive any special recognition for this. I had to ask for bread and hunt down the waiter after we were finished for the check. Not sure I’ll come back any time soon . View all feedback.
My wife and I enjoy a lot of amazing eating near home and travel. this is probably the best Italian food we had in the usa and among our top restaurants as a whole. fantastic dishes, appetizers and desserts. everything tastes wonderfully fresh and full of taste. I would come back to the SF area to eat here! best restaurant in hmb!
Eating is always excellent. the gnocchi should die.
The dishes are simply fantastic. I think the key is local farmers food, which really tastes. Probably the best restaurant by the quality of food in the Bay Area, that we know so far. Looking forward to visiting it again.
Our first nice dinner out while we are in HMB and it will be difficult for others to live up to it! The freshest, highest quality ingredients I have had in a long time. Everything was expertly prepared. Portions are on the smaller side but didn’t mind. Also the back patio where we had dinner was absolutely beautiful. Must try the desserts- key lime pie and chocolate cake were incredible.
Excellent pasta and salad. Great service at the bar. Beautiful place. Only negative: no build your own pizza. Only three “flat breads”.
