Frosty's - Haines Junction

Beautiful fast food restaurant with delicious food for a decent price.

Good place to stop good food. It's nice on the Alaska Highway. Food and ice is great and decently expensive. The weather was good, so we sat on the terrace. The bathroom was clean. Lots of parking.

Great place for ice cream cones and many other choices.

Frosty's is our go to stop when making the drive from Anchorage to the L48, and a recent visit did not disappoint. We were lucky to find ourselves pulling up just in time for dinner, on a beautiful bluebird day in Haines Junction. My go to is simple: Cheeseburger deluxe with fries and a chocolate milkshake. There was a short line to place your order, which is understandable considering the great location at the turn off for Whitehorse. Once placed, our order took maybe 10 minutes for my meal plus a mushroom and swiss burger with fries. The burgers are juicy and delicious, served dressed with lettuce, tomato and mayo, and the fries are clearly homemade and straight from the fryer. Don't miss out on the milkshakes my chocolate milkshake had big flakes of chocolate mixed in and was so icy cold I had to let it melt a bit to drink! We enjoyed all this lovely bounty from their large outdoor patio, soaking up the sunshine (there is also a inside dining room if you prefer). Don't miss out on this stop and if you can time it for some late afternoon sunshine, enjoy!
