Great find, will be coming back for more of that fried catfish!
Prompt service for a large group after lunch. Good drinks and tasty food.
Dropped in here for some pints and lunch while passing through town. Seemed like an everybody knows everybody spot. Staff was kind and patient. Crab nachos were dank.
Great neighbor bar vibe! Love the catfish! They have a jazz night, which is fun but small place so is pretty loud be prepared.
The burgers and bar food here are fantastic. The service and atmosphere are excellent as well. If you're looking for a night out with delicious food, this is the spot to visit.
Broad Axe offers a lively atmosphere, featuring a vibrant decor and attentive staff that aims to please. However, experiences can vary significantly. While many patrons enjoy flavorful dishes such as the chorizo burger and quesadillas, others report undercooked meals and lukewarm sides. The beer selection receives praise, yet some drinks are deemed overpriced. Live music, though appreciated, often turns too loud for comfortable conversation. Despite these inconsistencies, friendly service and heartwarming gestures from the owner keep visitors coming back, making Broad Axe a notable spot for both regulars and newcomers alike.

WhIle traveling to OH we decided to stop here for a break and some lunch. We had our dog with us and the staff was very accommodating during our stop. The outdoor seating area was a nice, shaded spot and the food and drinks were amazing! Highlyrecommend if you?re in the area!
Decide to go here because my first experience went well but this time was bad. I ordered old bay wings and they were okay, didn?t really taste like old bay. The fries were soggy but probably because they were in a to go pan/box. The crab dip wasterrible. It taste like they added mustard to it it was overpowering. The crab dip looked yellow due to mustard. And I wasgiven soggy bread chips with it. The chips taste like garlic bread because it was all thrown together. Their prices aren?t toobad though.
The food was good. I had a bleu burger with chips. Very tasty. We sat at the bar and the staff were very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was fine until the live music started. They were very, very loud and the music was not very good. Itmade it impossible to have a conversation.
We made an advance reservation for 40. They accommodated us in every way they could. On the day of our reservation they reserved our tables ahead of time so when we arrived we had no trouble getting seated. We had 2 servers for our group and they werephenomenal. The kitchen sent our food out at a steady pace. Our table shared the Sampler App and Crab Dip, both were very good!Everyone enjoyed thier dinner with no complaints about the quality of the food, sometimes it's hard to make all 40 of us happybut we all left satisfied! Thanks Broad Axe!
Oh wow! First time here and it was awesome! I had the huckleberry lemonade and my hubby had a beer. We had the crab dip and the catfish nuggets, both were delicious and our first time trying catfish and it was out of this world. Finished off with a sharedslice of PB cheesecake? It was all so good and our waitress was so nice and recommended everything we tried. We will definitelycome back!

I hadn't visited the Broad Axe in many years, but I was invited to a karaoke night last night, and I have to say it was an absolute blast! The people were fantastic, the quesadillas were delicious, and the staff was amazing! A big thank you to Lindsay for her kindness and hard work! Also, a shout-out to Kevin, Andrew, and Jess — you all did an outstanding job last night! I can't wait to come back! Rhonda?
The chorizo burger and crab balls were fantastic! The service was prompt and attentive. However, it was evident that the server hadn’t tried any of the menu items when we asked for recommendations. If you’re just passing through like we were, note that street parking is free after 5 PM and all day on weekends. Regarding dietary restrictions, there were no clearly labeled lactose-free or dairy-free options, and there’s a high likelihood of cross-contamination in the kitchen. For parking, there’s paid street parking during the week and free street parking after 5 PM and all day on weekends. As for wheelchair accessibility, there's one step at the entrance of the building.
I've been coming to this restaurant for years, and it's absolutely amazing. Today, on my 21st birthday, the owner, Bob, a genuinely kind person, treated me to my drink and meal. It was such a heartwarming experience that I will always cherish. I truly appreciate this place. Thanks, Bob—you’re the best!
