However, the disappointment came with the yuk sung. I've had this dish from many different places across the UK for years, and unfortunately, this is one of the few takeaways that can't get it right. When I opened the tray, the overpowering smell of onion hit me, and the taste was overwhelmingly oniony as well. Strangely, it also had a sweet flavor—I've never encountered a sugary yuk sung before, and it definitely should not be so onion-heavy. I ended up throwing it out, which was a waste of good money. It looks like it will be a few more years before I make my way back here, and when I do, I will definitely be skipping the yuk sung.
