Dropped in yesterday for a drink. Many thanks to Jonny who provided excellent service, recommended a great beer (Californian IPA) and found out for us where Dan Owen was singing that evening. Will definitely be coming back for a meal and more. View all feedback.
What Magda Marx doesn't like about House of the Rising Sun:
Food was really nice but probably not worth the dollar. For example the fried aubergines were so incredibly delicious but it was £7 for 3 slices of battered aubergine. The pani puri wasnt really pani puri just stuffed pani puri balls but still tasty. View all feedback.
A delicious and good eating with friendly staff. tapas is included in element-theme pages (with steaks if they don't like to share). our favorite dishes were the bark chili with maisbrot, the crispy mozzarella and the huhn satay. we were not so big fans of the beetroot and goat cheese sushi and found the chorizo and cheese croquetta delicious, but the taste overwhelmed the other foods. we had dishes that were too much (the employees had recommended everyone what would have been perfect, we were hungry/great after that we pumped next door for a beautiful cocktail in libertines. the restaurant is really recommended.
Great fusion food, I had the chicken catsu curry that was excellent, service pretty fast on a very busy Saturday afternoon. good cocktail menu too.
Eating was really nice, but probably not worth the dollar. for example, the fried aubergines were so incredibly delicious, but there were £7 for 3 slices of ruined aubergine. the pani puri washes really pani puri just filled pani puri balls, but still delicious.
Beautiful atmosphere and friendly staff. food was all delicious. share plates. loved everything, especially sweet tofu
Finally a non- vegan restaurant that can boil tofu right! the sweet and acidic tofu was amazing. they have a “land” section on their menu, that’s all veggie and vegan. we had the falafel, dhal, katsu curry and sweet and sour tofu. most sides are also vegan, and the chips were amazing! we had the churros. they are unbelievable. it is not cheap, but eating is very good and the staff is beautiful.
