we went here as a pub guide recommended the pub. it turned out that there was an appalled old school British pub with real kamin. I noticed that the small pub menu had two vegan options and decided to add the place. the vegan cheese toastie was in order, I didn't like the sausage in the sausage roll, but my partner ate her happy. this is a good choice when they are thirsty and peckish, but do not plan that this is th... What Anonym dislikes about Wenlock Arms:
I went on a Monday night, and it was far away from heaving. I can't imagine that it will ever be packed especially, as the amount of traffic that would attract it would be nil. They either know that it is there and have it as a target already, or they would never stumble over it. it is down a residential street about halfway between engl and old street. it is very much a “proper” pub, but not particularly cozy in it. This restaurant is a traditional pub with a unique story. It is one of the few local establishments that have managed to resist real estate developers and thrive.
This small bar is a great spot for those working in the area to unwind with a drink after a long day of work.
The Wenlock Arms brings back memories of 1950s and 1960s London with its partially covered top curtains on the windows. The restaurant is bustling with activity.
We went here as a pub guide recommended the pub. It turned out that it was a poor old school British pub with real fireplace. I noticed that the little pub menu had two vegan options and decided to add the place. The vegan cheese toastia was fine, I didn't like the sausage in the sausage roll, but my partner ate them happy. This is a good choice if you are thirst and peckish, but do not plan that this is your main meal.
