There were 6 of us and we all tried different dishes from the menu, and everyone was pleased with their selection. The staff were really friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. I can't stop thinking about the delicious poached eggs and bacon I had. This place is a hidden gem in Hackney Wick.

Despite reading reviews mentioning slow service, I was pleasantly surprised by the efficient and friendly service we received. The food was delicious, tasting incredibly fresh and homemade. The mezze plates were especially impressive, reminding me of the ones I enjoyed in Istanbul.

The ambience and service was lovely but sadly the veggie curry which they charged £12 for was awful. Like something you'd put together as a student, complete with packet rice and shop bought naan. Worst of all was a very stody, stale and overly harshly spiced dahl, which none of the three of us touched. Really disappointing I'd be ashamed to serve it to friends at home. we did receive some free desserts when we complained about the curry to our waiter, which was appreciated. But I'd much rather not have forked out £24 in the first place for such poor food.
