The Crooked Billet - Hackney

My family and I visited this restaurant for a Christmas meal, and I must say it was the worst Christmas dinner I have ever experienced. I would not recommend it to anyone. The table was sticky from drinks spilled the night before, the glasses were dirty with lipstick still on them. The meat was tough and flavorless, making it impossible to distinguish whether it was turkey or pork. The vegetables were overcooked and mushy, swimming in a sad and watery gravy. I will never dine at this restaurant again and would caution others against doing so as well.

I reside in Ware and this pub is one of my top choices to frequent. The staff is very friendly and they offer a great variety of real ales. I will definitely be coming back in the future.

Muireach and his team were fantastic hosts for our Aussie Rules Football club, the London Swans, at our annual awards afternoon in the summer. The beer garden was spacious, the drinks were cold, the cocktails were well-made, and the food was tasty. Additionally, the staff were welcoming, enjoyable, and extremely accommodating for our large group. We look forward to returning to The Crooked Billet in 2023 and beyond. Thank you for a wonderful experience!

Came in for a sunday lunch, without a reservation, was offered a choice of two tables. Prompt service, generous portions, tasty food and the female waitress/barmaid was SO friendly and smiley. She was fantastic!

Had a drink with friends at The Crooked Billet on Friday. We haven 't been before but will definitely go again. Service was with a smile and our server 'Oli ' was more than helpful and polite.
