I've been coming to this restaurant for a while now, and it's become my favorite spot for French onion soup! I always make it a point to try something new from the menu, and I’ve never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly, and the service is great. View all feedback.
What Elna Klein dislikes about Lazy Lanigans:
It used to be a great place. The crowd is decent, but the bartender can be unexpectedly rude. I wouldn’t recommend returning. As for parking, there are plenty of spaces available in the back. View all feedback.

Fantastic hidden Gem in the city. Hands down best Reuben I've ever had. Highly recommended
Good crowd, good food, good drinks think the crowd was bigger than normal as the staff was hard to get attention of (they weren't lazy, just not enough of them for the size of the crowd).
Good local Irish pub, with a solid offering of your typical fare: burgers, sandwiches, and entrees. The steak sandwich is a winner. Great spot to grab a beer bite while watching the multiple screens, both inside and outside.

For over 20 years, Lazy Lanigan's has been the quintessential local Irish pub. The food is excellent, the bar is pristine, and there's a spacious heated semi-enclosed deck perfect for smokers, sports enthusiasts, and dart players. After 10 PM, the vibe shifts to a lively crowd of college students and young adults, complete with a DJ who brings everything together nicely. The full menu offers fantastic appetizers, steaks, chops, and much more! The cozy seating area and bar feature some of the most comfortable chairs to relax in. I fell in love with Lazy Lanigan's from the very first day I walked in on Essex Street and was warmly welcomed by Noel. Over the years, I've made wonderful friends there—a true testament to the staff, who consistently treat everyone like family. It truly feels like HOME!

Great Burgers, a must have and Beer selection is ideal for just about any taste buds. Quaint, the Ideal Local bar. ?
I went around 1pm on a Friday and there were 2 groups of regulars already. It is a very nicely finished bar with about 10 seats at the bar and a separate dining area. There are adequate amount of TVs for watching sports. Gentleman bartender was friendly and attentive. I appreciate the fact that he let's me finish my current drink before asking me about my next one. There is a decent selection of draft beers both local and Irish. Bathrooms are very spacious and clean. I'm not from the area and don't know what the average beer prices are but I found the prices to be a touch expensive. I only went to one other bar in the area but the draft beers there were 25% less. Overall I still liked the place and if back in the area would go again.
This is a decent local bar. It had a bit of a dirty vibe during our visit, and there was an unpleasant fish smell that was quite overwhelming. However, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the patrons seemed friendly. They had a live DJ playing good music, which added to the ambiance. The drink prices were standard for a New Jersey bar, although they might be on the higher side. Overall, it's a cool local spot, and I plan to try the food there soon.
I had a fun afternoon lunch with a large group of coworkers and we had a great time. Many of us ordered different things, some ordered salads, some ordered burgers, I ordered the French dip. Everyone liked their lunch. The drinks were good and the service was fantastic. Our group of 30 was treated extremely well and we had no complaints whatsoever. It's a fun bar and I will definitely go back. It's a great place to socialize.
