I tried a few dishes an... read more The restaurant offers delicious Dominican food at an affordable price. When I asked for recommendations, the response was, 'Everything.' I tried a few dishes and they were all excellent. It felt like eating a home-cooked meal. The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this place. The only reasons I didn't give it 5 stars is because the dining area could be improved and there doesn't seem to be dedicated parking.

This morning, I went to the restaurant to try their traditional Dominican breakfast called 4 hits (a.k.a. 4 golpes), which includes Mangú, Fried Cheese, Fried D... read more This morning, I went to the restaurant to try their traditional Dominican breakfast called 4 hits (a.k.a. 4 golpes), which includes Mangú, Fried Cheese, Fried Dominican Salami, Fried Eggs, Fried Longaniza, and pickled onions. It was delicious! The mangù was creamy, the cheese was crispy and golden, the salami was soft, the Longaniza was perfectly cooked, and the egg was just right, although I wish it came with two eggs. It was one of the best 4 hits (4 golpes) breakfast I've had in a long time. Overall, I will definitely order from Mi Cocina again, but I will avoid their version of Sancocho. If they served a true Sancocho with multiple meats, I would give them 5 stars.
