Food and drinks are overpriced compared to other better places in the area.

As a mechanic who works the 'odd ' shift I used to enjoy going to the Chit Chat Hackensack to eat once or twice a week, after work. 2 things stand out for me as... read more As a mechanic who works the 'odd ' shift I used to enjoy going to the Chit Chat Hackensack to eat once or twice a week, after work. 2 things stand out for me as a detraction from my further visitation. 1 the music has got to stop! I do not want to go to a diner in NJ to hear Spanish music blasting while I 'm trying to eat. 2 The price and service that comes with it. A I 'm all about diversity and ambiance, but I can 't find anyone I work with that wants to hear that music blasting away at 10pm in a place where the music at best should be "white noise ' in the background. It doesn 't need to be Muzak, contemporary mainstream would be fine. B The prices for what you get are not worth the visit Paying $67 (tip not included) for an omelet a sandwich and 1 drink is crazy. Especially when all I hear is Spanish being yelled all over the restaurant and my server still gets the order wrong half the time. People behind the counter too busy being on their phone instead of addressing the client. It 's sad to see it went so far downhill I blame Management! Ownership needs to take some blame on this too! I am not alone in this opinion, as customers I was dining next to, and also some of my co workers have commented on the same things. Sorry to say I will be going to Wawa or trying to find another place to grab some food from now on unless I hear they change this stuff up.
