Just got back from a lovely week in Criccieth, where we had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic little restaurant twice. The breakfast was amazing, great value for the price, and the staff were incredibly friendly. The atmosphere was beautiful, and we will definitely be making this a regular spot to visit whenever we are in the city! View all feedback.
What margaretcT6190GW doesn't like about Tir-a-mor:
Our last family lunch of the holiday and we chose Tir a Mor because of the varied menu, positive reviews and outside seating. Unfortunately our food was served over a 50 minute period. Items were missing, a plain burger for a child came with relish... View all feedback.
Were recommended to go here as our 2 dogs were allowed in. We were welcomed by the staff nicely and chose to sit outside in the sun. The service was quick and the the coffees were lovely, but the cakes! OMG the cakes were delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the staff were charming, the prices were as one should expect. We can't recommend Tir a Mor enough. We wish we could have you as our regular stop, but sadly we are just passing through.
Visited for breakfast on Saturday, 22nd June. We arrived at 11am and it was packed downstairs and outside. Luckily there is more seating upstairs. We had the best table for 2 in the cafe. I sat and had a view of the sea from the bay window. We had a great breakfast. Reasonable enough at £10.50 and included all the usuals you would expect. Everything was hot and tasty. I loved my tea from the tea pot with fresh tea leaves. This was our first visit (we are fairly local) and we came on the strength of their Daily Post taste test review. Young girls and owner were all Welsh speaking. We will definitely come again and we have already recommended the place to many friends and family.
We stopped by for lunch here after a walk along the beach after family had recommended we come here. I can honestly say the Chicken Caesar Salad was one of the best I’ve ever had! Make sure you go to this place when visiting the area- lovely atmosphere and fabulous food
Tir a Mar is perfectly situated on the main road down to Criccieth Castle, right in the heart of the town. We visited on 20/03/24 and whilst still just outside the start of the season there was a full menu of delicious homemade food available. Portions are extremely generous but make sure you leave room for the pies and cakes. The blackcurrant pie, lemon meringue pie and Victoria sponge are highly recommended. The staff are very friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble. I can recommend Tir a mar very highly so please dont miss it and if you dont have room for cake or pie take some home! The only down side for me and this is very personal is that they allow dogs which will be a plus for others.
Visited this lovely old town to have a good beach walk to Black Rocks and back and arrived here for lunch. Really nice and the owner was very welcoming and young staff very polite and courteous Great choice of food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Strongly recommend only disappointment was the coffee not very good really rather lacing in taste and my wife had decaf flat white which was equally poor
