When I arrived, I parked in what I thought was a car park, o... read more I made a reservation for Afternoon Tea for myself, my mother-in-law, and my disabled sister-in-law. When I arrived, I parked in what I thought was a car park, only to be abruptly told by two ladies, one with colored hair, that I had to move my car as they did not have parking facilities. Despite seeing my sister-in-law with a walking stick, they insisted I move my car because they were expecting a shed delivery that never arrived while we were there. Furthermore, I was disappointed to find that there was only one choice of sandwich filler for the afternoon tea, even though there were five options listed on the menu. When I tried to explain my expectations for afternoon tea, one of the rude ladies with colored hair told me we were taking too long and she would continue without us. This made us feel very unwelcome, and I considered walking away, but my sister-in-law was looking forward to this treat as she has been very ill and almost died last year. Overall, the experience was not worth the cost of the afternoon tea, and we left feeling disappointed by the service we received.

The staff are lovely and welcoming and there is so much to see both inside and out. I highly recommend at least one visit if you are in Tywyn.
