We're regular visitors and the food never disappoints. No matter how busy they are the food remains a good standard. Great for breakfast and the welsh curry is fantastic View all feedback.

What r1659 dislikes about Coleen's:
I had an absolutely terrible experience at this restaurant. I went with my family and the owner, Collin, was incredibly patronizing. He tried to tell me I wasn't old enough to be there, even though I had my ID with me and am well over 18. When I sat down, he told me to leave because I wasn't wearing a mask (even though I am exempt), even though no one else was wearing one either. He also kept interrupting and being r... My family and I are staying at the Pen y Berth caravan site, and we highly recommend the café for dining. The café recently underwent a complete refurbishment this winter, with only a few finishing touches left to be done. The bar was updated last year, and the welcoming atmosphere from Col and Eileen, also known as Colleens, is fantastic. They also run the site shop, which is very convenient. If the shop is closed, just see Colin and he will help you out. They start in the shop at 8 am, and the café is open around the same time for breakfast, staying open until late at night, usually around 9 or 10 pm. The food is always fresh and the portions are generous. Eileen's motto is that if it's not on the menu but they have the ingredients, she will make it for you if she has the time. All meals can be taken-to-go as well. I even took my plate up to get a Sunday lunch to bring back to my caravan. They also host a charity night each year, with last year's event raising £556 for the Welsh Air Ambulance. I have dined at Colleens three times this week already, and I highly recommend it.

Colleens is located on the Pen-y-Berth Caravan Site, near the Llyn Golf Driving Range, on the road between Pwllheli and Abersoch. The food at Colleens is exceptional, all home-cooked by the family-run business. The owner, Colin, goes out of his way to accommodate guests, even remembering their preferences for future visits. The standout dish is the fish and chips, with a generous portion of fish and delicious homemade chips. Other dishes such as the Ham Hock are also highly recommended. The venue itself is child-friendly, with well-behaved kids on the caravan site. The courtyard outside has mechanical rides for children, but they are rarely used. Inside, the lighting could be improved, and there are some games for older kids. Despite some minor flaws, the main draw of Colleens is the delicious food, friendly atmosphere, and reasonable prices. Overall, it's a great spot for a casual and enjoyable meal, as long as you're not expecting a fancy fine dining experience.

When I sat down, he told me to leave because I wasn't wearing a mask (even though I am exempt), even though no one else was wearing one either. He also kept interrupting and being rude while I was trying to have a conversation with someone. The last time I was here, a year ago, the food had hairs in it, was very greasy, and the atmosphere was unpleasant. This experience has completely ruined my holiday, and I only arrived yesterday.
