Nestled in the heart of Abersoch, Blades Deli and Bakery offers a charming yet compact dining experience. Diners rave about its high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, with standout dishes like homemade vegetarian quiche and vibrant crab salads. While the cafe's cozy atmosphere can feel cramped during busy times, the food consistently impresses, with many recommending the delicious cakes and aromatic coffee. However, some patrons have encountered service hiccups and noted that the venue isn't particularly dog-friendly, a disappointment for many visitors. Great variety of high-quality ingredients available. Since many pubs were not serving food, we opted for a convenient and easy picnic option. They also had a good selection of gluten-free items. View all feedback.
What md1mm dislikes about Blades Cafe:
This is a small cafe in the centre of Abersoch. When busy it is too small with people blocking the door when trying to order. Unfortunately when we went we encountered an embarrassingly bad experience. In front of us trying to order at the counter were a very nice French family with 2 teenage children but with rather poor English who tried to order food. The way they were treated was shameful I am sorry to say. The p... View all feedback.
I recently visited a place that I believe is now called Blades Deli and Bakery. This fantastic deli offers a selection of organic, handmade, and local items. I purchased a couple of chutneys and pickled onions, but the real star of the show was the homemade vegetarian quiche. I also got a homemade vegan pastie for my daughter who has allergies, all for a great price. I can't find places like this in London where I live. Additionally, they were giving away free fruit and vegetables because they were unable to open during the festive period. I also visited a nearby 'Deli', but it was more of a coffee shop run by a group of teens. While their baps were freshly made, they couldn't match the character, service, and quality of Blades Deli. Keep up the fantastic vibes and ethos!
The coffee and cake were delicious, but it took such a long time for them to bring it to our table that we had to take the cake with us. It wouldn't have been a problem if they were busy, but they weren't. The prices were not low and the atmosphere wasn't very welcoming.

The cafe is no longer open but the Deli is and serves excellent local produce, also serves excellent take away coffee and cakes.
