What I really enjoyed about this place (aside from how good the food tasted) is how easy it was. You’ve got the food behind the glass; you pick a meat and two sides; cornbread is included. It’s a simple process with a delicious outcome, and you know as soon as you walk in that the restaurant is a local favorite and a place where a lot of love and attention are put every day. It was a truly local place and a great plate of food.
I love coming here the food is awesome. My husband loves the salmon patties.
Tonight was the first time me and my wife have eaten here. We just moved back from Loganville, Ga. And I have to say this was the best food we have eaten from a restaurant here or in loganville where we moved from. Everything was so fresh and my wife said the seafood salad was the best she has ever eaten. Needless to say we will be a very frequent customer of The Southern Cafe. Thanks so much for the great food.
Love the low country boil with crab cluster. It's very good and nice people. Also live that everything is homemade.
I purchased takeout from this restaurant for the first time today. I had the dark meat baked chicken with cabbage and brunswick stew. I am very picky especially with the way things are seasoned. Everything was great. The chicken was so tender and juicy, sides were good and the plain cornbread was tasty. I also got the pulled pork with creamed corn and cabbage for my husband. His meal was great as well. Prices are good especially for the portion of food that you get. I can't wait to go back and try the oxtails and Seafood!
