Since... read more I went through the drive-thru this afternoon and ordered a number two, which is a Dave's double meal. However, I received a kids' or value burger instead. Since I was driving and using hands-free, I searched for Wendy's in Santa Bella to notify them about my order and let them know I would pick up the correct burger on my way home. Unfortunately, their phone number connects to a fax or something similar. I suggested they update their phone number online so customers can reach them, but the person I spoke to just shrugged it off and said, "Oh, it’s like that." I hope he never has to handle an emergency call. When I arrived to get my correct burger, I was told that without a receipt, nothing could be done. As a business owner myself, I understand the importance of trust but also the need to address legitimate issues. With inflation as high as it is, if you pay $7 for a burger and receive one worth $2.99, you deserve a fix. This incident happened at the Wendy’s in Oroville, CA. I was advised to report any errors as soon as they are noticed, so they are fresh in the staff’s memory and documented. That way, even if you come back a week later, you can get your order corrected.
