We had a lovely lunch at Burnells today! The chicken salad was exactly what I was hoping for. The elk brat was delicious and not too 'game-y '! And The sweet potato tots were out of this world! A must stop in my opinion! View all feedback.
What Margret Welch doesn't like about Burnell's:
I decided to try this restaurant based on the photos of their food, but I was disappointed with the experience overall. I prefer my meals to be served hot and ready to eat, rather than needing to be reheated at home. View all feedback.
I loved them when they were catering at the ibar and I love them now as they are a great weekend breakfast spot on the edge of town! Highly recommend as nothing beats eating good food in the sunshine! 4 stars because the staff weren’t super happy smiley but were friendly.
This truck is exaggerated. The menu is eclectic and simple, all from scratches. I decided against my normal verdict to get biscuits and gravy and fried chicken for hopefully a big mountain bike ride. Two good, just too good.
Burnell's catered our wedding and they were fantastic! The food was wonderful, all our guests loved it, and they were priced right. They were so great to work with, even through a postponement due to Covid. We couldn't be happier with choosing Burnell's!
Great discovery! Stops from here during the camping in the area. I'm such an outdoor seating area with my pups on a food truck that makes sound perfect. You have a nice large terrace with about 7 divided tables and a few chairs to go for the order. There is also a huge pine tree for shade. Simple menu written on a chalkboard because it varies daily. Prices seem suitable for a quality food truck and also for the area. I've already debated the Philly or the Shrimp Poboy, depending on what they had, and it turned out to be the Poboy. The order didn't last long and then my huge sandwich arrived. It came with a small bag of chips, but the sandwich itself is huge and loaded. The sandwich is on a soft hogie instead of the traditional French type of bread, but it is delicious and fresh. The shrimp (plump, perfectly boiled and plentiful in a kind of dark Cajun remoulade mixed with bacon and sewn onions with colorful paprika. Oh, and it has salad so you don't feel bad eating it all in a session! Overall I loved it! Burn with taste in every bite! Felt more like a Cajun shrimp Philly minus the cheese. Only if I were to be the one who naturally means it! There's not something like a shrimp Philly, but... yes! Oh, and ask for a fork or to cut it into half, or you'll use much more napkins than necessary! Met Kevin, one of the owners and he was very nice and easy to talk. Nice place to stop when you're a local, what are you waiting for? Try them before they spend their winter holidays! Or make sure you try them when you get a chance. They're coming back. I hope!
Delicious, fast, high-quality food! Friendly, fun atmosphere. We ordered the fried chicken sandwich and the Philly Special. Both were excellent. The service is phenomenally fast.
