What the heck. I was not expecting to have the best steak ever while driving through a town with a population of 64. If you are a lover of meat stop here, it's pretty much the only thing on the menu. My husband was yearning to dine here and we were finally able to do so having timed our weekly WY/SD trip. I ordered the $70 Ribeye and it arrived barely 1/2 thick, looking like a thin, hastily cut steak . It was not Prime beef as we were told it would be. My husband ordered the wedge salad and NY strip. Born and raised in Wyoming and only recently ate here. What a gem of a place. First of all, this is THE steak place in a cattle state full of steak places. Perfectly cooked, massive steaks. Great sides and desserts. But the service, no matter if you have a small or a large party is not to be beat. We brought a party of 12 and every order was correct and somehow the kitchen managed to get all of our steaks to us (different levels of done, mind you) almost simultaneously and every one was hot. No easy task. I highly recommend the journey off the beaten path to Hartville, Wyoming to have the best steak to be had with the best service to be had anywhere. And I’ve eaten at steak houses all over the country and the world.
Myself, husband and daughter thoroughly enjoyed our experience at this historic steakhouse and bar. The ribeyes and strip were perfectly cooked and delicious! The squash side and truffles mashed potatoes were delicious as well. The Caesar salad was creamy and crunchy with homemade croutons and the blue cheese salad wedge divine with their house.made blue cheese dressing and candied pecans. We tried the creme Brule and bourbon pecan pie, which did not disappoint. We traveled from Northern Illinois and will definitely be back!
What a great experience we had last night. It was a perfect night to dine on the outdoor patio. The staff was amazing. And the steak... best steak I’ve ever had!! Thank you!

Luckily this restuarant isn't located in the D.C area, I'd be broke! Highly recommend the Ribeye! I added mushrooms, honestly, the steak was perfect as is ... amazing just amazing!!!
