One of the best dining experiences in my 70 years! We will make a special trip from Denver to enjoy a meal again. Our waiter, Tony, was the best! Judy and Al, Denver, CO View all feedback.
The best steak ever was eaten tonight at the oldest bar in Wyoming in the oldest town in Wyoming. A small menu concentrating in the highest grade steaks from Kansas we went for the NY strip our friends had the rib eye. The steaks are BIG but there is an option to share so we did. Meat cooked to perfection, garlic and truffle mash, green beans. You get to have either soup or salad included in the price. The cob salad with blue cheese was amazing. There’s a good cocktail menu and an enormous whisky list. Goth toys desserts, we went got the strawberry lemonade cake but couldn’t really choose. Living in the uk we are never likely to return but urge any travellers in the area to stop by. Well done everyone there!
My wife and I ate here for our anniversary and were very impressed. We both ordered ribeye, she had a salad and I had a pumpkin soup. We also had cocktails, me an old fashioned and her a spicy margarita. For dessert she ate Pecan pie and I had the creme brulee. We had strong hopes when we were asked to what temperature we wanted our steaks cooked, 125 to 130. The steak was done to perfection, very tender, and absolutely a prime cut. The desserts were also well executed. There are obviously some reviewers who don't get that they are in a tiny town, next to a really small town. If you want fast and have a large party, you are at the wrong place. You are not even in the right state. That being said, the front staff was outstanding and the owner checked on us as well.

If you find yourself near southeast WY or northwest Colorado go to Miners Stockman 's . It 's the oldest restaurant in WY and is located in the tiny crossroads of Hartville. near Gurnsey if that helps). Mike and Anthony on the bar are knowledgeable and very helpful. The steaks are wonderfully cooked and seasoned. I had the Blue Cheese crusted Ribeye -med rare and it was probably the best steak I have had in10-15 years. The Bourbon and Rye flight of WY and Colorado spirits was excellent. The soup of the day was a spicy tomato/corn soup.. delicious. I found out the owner was the chef and must compliment him on a perfectly done steak. Check out Miners Stockmen 's Steakhouse Spirits yelp.to/oDu9ugDTZe
